The Laboratory Medicine Department of Taizhou hospital is a comprehensive center, including both laboratory diagnoses and medical research. We enthusiastically provide the highest quality service in efficiency, timely, accuracy and as many as possible clinical laboratory diagnostic profiles for clinicians. 

 

There are 64 staffs in total in Laboratory Medicine Department, including 7 senior doctors, 2 PhDs and 2 Masters, respectively. Sixty percent of our staffs hold bachelor degree. The department is equipped with advanced instruments. There are six sections including biochemistry, immunology, microbiology, and hematology, the routine clinical lab, and Laboratory Center. Presently, the department covers more than 600 specific diagnostic test items. Among them, more than 100 specific test items are initially performed in TaiZhou District. The profile of laboratory test items ranks one of the top hospitals national wide. 

 

In Laboratory Center, there are 5 full-time researchers and technicians performing medical research projects. Additionally, owing to the up to date brain-pools, hi-tech equipments and state-of-art technology support, Laboratory Center is available for researchers from the whole hospital. We can provide high quality performance in Molecular Biology, Molecular Immunology, cell culture, flowcytometry analysis, and other essential biological experiments. As an opening access platform for the medical research, grants and projects are welcomed to the Laboratory Center.

 

During the year from 2002 to 2005, the scientific research and grant application are strengthened. Various grants were sponsored from different sources, such as Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province, Science Foundation of the Health Bureau of Zhejiang Province, and several papers were published on international journals.
